Why subscribe?

For 9 years I lived 2 short blocks from the ocean on the island of Maui, Hawaii Whales, dolphins, sea turtles, and all manner of other critters were literally in my backyard. These essays chronicle both my encounters and musings about those encounters. I was touched and humbled by the creatures I shared time with. These stories are my way of passing on the wonder and love.
